Очень часто мне задают вопросы: "На какие курсы пойти, чтобы выучть английский язык?", "Посоветуй толкового репетитора", "По какой методике лучше всего учить?"

Самое инетерсное, что после моего ответа, наступает пауза, после чего спросивший начинает думать, что я сказал ему либо что-то бредовое, либо что-то очень сложное, а ему лучше бы, как и все. За свою жизь я перепробовал много разных методик ... все поиски сводились к тому, чтобы ничего не учить, а все знать. Мне кажется, что вы далеки от идеала, так же, как и я, а по-сему поробуйте то, к чему я шел очень долго.

Во-первых, давайте определимся, для чего вам нужно знание иностранного языка ... не обязательно ангийского, любого другого? Явно, по большей части для себя, хотя, в то же время, мои советы подойдут и хорошим переводчикам.

Во-вторых, вы согласитесь со мной, если я вам скажу, что ни один репетитор, ни один учитель не будет учить язык вместо вас? Поэтому сразу же предлагаю настроиться на то, что все в ваших руках. Для больших скептиков хочу оговориться ... начальная база мало того, что не помешает, КРАЙНЕ НЕОБХОДИМА.

Итак, суть моей методики: в меру возможности - граматики, максимум словарного запаса и еще больше практики. Не убедительно? А вы подумайте, как учат разговаривать детей. Им никто не обясняет, что предложения бываю простыми и сложными, которые в свою очередь делятся на следующие виды, отличительными чертами которых являются ... Их учат словам и с ними разговаривают.

Если вам кажется, что этого мало для того, чтобы быть хорошим переводчиком, то мой вам совет: начиная учить английский, подучивайте потихоньку и русский, потому что переводчик никогда не бывает переводчиком одного языка, перевод идет с одного на другой. Очень было весело и, в то же время, грустно слушать перевод речи американского президента (когда этой осенью В. В. Путин находился с визитом в США).

Что же я собираюсь предложить вам в своих ВлаДениях? Не много ..., но именно то, что, по моему мнению, поднимет ваши познания английского языка на новую ступеньку.

People in Your Life!

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there … to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them, you know that every moment they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize your potential, strength, will power your heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost, moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you to learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things. Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sight high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create your own life and then go out and live it!

Урок 3 - Просто читаем и размышляем, ведь, ничто не учит лучше, чем практика:

1. Anger is a condition in which the tongue works faster than the mind.

2. You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying over the future.

Урок 4 - Учим английский дальше, а заодно, становимся мудрее:

1. I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

2. I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

3. I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.

4. I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life."

5. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.

6. I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.

7. I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

8. I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.

9. I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.

10. I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love that human touch - holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

Урок 5 - А теперь давайте немножко расслабимся и почитаем английский юмор:

1. A guy goes to visit his grandmother and brings his friend along. While he is talking to his grandmother, his friend starts eating the peanuts on the coffee table and finishes them off. As they are leaving, his friend says to the grandmother, "Thanks for the peanuts." She says: "Yeah, since I lost my dentures, I can only suck the chocolate off."

2. Once upon a time there was a shepherd looking after his sheep on the edde of a deserted road. Suddenly a brandk new Jeep Cherokee screeches to a halt next to him. The driver, a young man dressed in a Brioni suit, Cerrutti shoes, Ray-Ban glasses, and a YSL tie gets out and asks the shepherd:

- If I guess how many sheep you have, will you give me one of them?

The shepherd looks at the young man, then looks at the sheep which are quietly grazing and says:

- All right.

The young man parks the car, connects his notebook and mobile phone, enters a NASA site, scans the ground using his GPS, opens a data base and 60 Excel tables filled with algorithms, then prints a 15-page report on his high-tech mini-printer. He then turns to the shepherd and says:

- You have exactly 1586 sheep here.

The shepherd answers:

- That's correct, you can have your sheep.

The young man takes the sheep and puts it in the back of his jeep. The shepherd looks at him and asks:

- If I guess your profession, will you return my sheep to me?

The young man answers:

- Yes, why not.

The shepherd says:

- You are a management consultant!

- How did you know? - asks the young man.

- Very simple, - answers the shepherd. - First, you come here without being called. Second, you charge me a sheep to tell me something I already knew. Third, you do not understand anything about what I do, because you took my dog.

3. Cвященнослужитель и австралийский пастух овец выступают соперниками в
одной телевизионной викторине. После того, как были заданы все стандартные вопросы, результат - ничья. Тогда ведущий передачи задает последний решающий вопрос: оба участника должны придумать в течение 5-ти минут стихотворение, в котором бы прозвучало слово "Тимбукту" (для справки - это город в республике Мали, который в свое время был торговым и культурным центром Ислама). Оба кандидата удаляются, и через 5 минут на сцену выходит священнослужитель, чтобы представить свое произведение:

"I was a father all my life,
I had no children, had no wife,
I read the bible through and through
on my way to Timbuktu....."

Публика в восторге и уже воображает церковного служителя победителем викторины. Но тут на сцену выходит австралийский пастух и произносит:

"When Tim and I to Brisbane went
We met three ladies cheap to rent,
they were three and we were two.
so I booked one and Tim booked two....."
